Your private guide will pick you up at your Munich hotel. Then we drive southeast along the Bavarian Alps to Austria, Salzburg, the city of the famous movie The Sound of Music.

Salzburg is one of the prettiest cities you’re likely to encounter in your European travels. Especially if you spend most of your time in the Altstadt (old town) on the left bank of the Salzach River. The Altstadt probably has more masterpieces of Baroque architecture per hectare than any other city on Earth.

To begin with, we see the Mirabell Castle with its incredible Gardens, Mozart-Wohnhaus. Then cross the river to see the composer’s birthplace and childhood home in the Getreidegasse. Or maybe take the funicular up to Hohensalzburg Fortress, the Festung (fortress) is 120 meters or 400 feet above the river, providing great views of the city. And of course, we visit the Domplatz and Cathedral.

Our next stop

We drive back to Germany to Berchtesgaden, we visit the town’s 500-year-old salt mine on Obersalzberg.

Dress up like a miner and take a slide into the disco-lit depths of the still functional salt mine. After our tour in Salt Mines, we drive back to your hotel.

Everything you would look for in a tour guide and more!

My family and I, were traveling from Munich to Garmisch and wanted to visit Neuschwanstein Castle and Lindehoff on the way. We engaged the services of Amir, and he made it a wonderful day!
Amir was not only very courteous and professional, but he also made us feel very welcome and could be easily engaged in conversation. The tour was pitched at our level of comfort, and we did not feel rushed or harassed during the journey, as I have felt on other private tours. Amir could even relate to my two teenage kids, and they loved him!
His knowledge about Germany, its culture, history, and politics are deep, and he is willing to share with you whatever you would like to know about this amazing country.
It was so easy being in Amir’s company, and it felt more like going on a sightseeing trip with one of your family members showing you around.
Halfway through the journey, my husband and I decided to book Amir for our trip from Munich to Salzburg the following week, with a visit to the Salt Mines along the way. We again had a wonderful day in the company of Amir.
Thank you, Amir, for making our trip really memorable, and we are looking forward to meeting you on our next trip, or if you and your family venture over to Singapore, we would love to host you.
